Given the planned phasing out of the direct support to projects by end December 2012, SCP does not envisage further calls for proposals for the regional cooperation projects.

In the frames of strategizing an adequate exit from the region, SCP has recognised the establishment of new and further strengthening of existing cultural networks (CNDPs) to be an adequate approach in further development of sustainable models of (co)operation of the cultural organisations. Further build-on through merging in larger national or regional/international networks is perceived by the SCP as the optimum approach that can advance their position and chances in future.

The call for submission of cultural network development projects was disseminated at the beginning of July. On the basis of pre-selected concepts, the selection of CNDPs to be supported in 2012 will be made by the SCP Regional Steering Committee in November.
